Infuse one Red Velvet Oolong tea bag and vanilla pod in an inch of boiling water for 4 to 5 minutes.

Red Velvet Oolong is blend of oolong tea, apple, hibiscus and cocoa. Like black tea, Oolong teas are made from the leaves of the Camellia sinensis plant. The difference between the two is the amount of oxidation, or fermentation, the leaves are exposed to during production. After picking, the leaves are withered before being twisted and allowed to ferment slightly. The amount of fermentation differs between various oolong varieties and affects the taste. Oolong lies between green tea (0% oxidation) and black tea (100% oxidation) and offers a balance between the strength of black tea and the lightness of green tea.
